Metformin 500mg Tab Zyd

How should these pills be taken ..I have to take it 3 times a day so my question is how many hours apart?..Right now I am taking it 5 hours apart..9:30 ..2:30 and 7:30 is this ok?

It's usually meant to be taken with your meals, unless your doctor has instructed you otherwise, since it's used to help control blood sugar. Generally, it should be taken just before you start eating, so it has a chance to start working, by the time you are digesting your food.

The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, flatulence and stomach pain.
