That is just the abbreviation for the name of the manufacturer.

The FDA lists the typical side effects of Metformin as possibly including nausea, dizziness, stomach pain, flatulence and hypoglycemia.

but there was a recall on Metformin with "ER " extended-release

mine reads metformin 1000MG Tab HER
so is that extended-release
and if so wasn't it recalled with the 500 MG that was posted online?
