Menstration

I have a question regarding the "morning after" pill. I am a 50yr old female. I have no physical symptoms of menopause other than ten yrs of sweating. My periods are absolutely the same as they have been for 35yrs. My plight is that I am going on a cruise with my husband in 8days which puts me due to start menstruation when we leave for vacation. (NEVER FAILS lol) So, my teenage daughter suggested I take this "morning after" pill in hopes it will bring on early menstruation and solve my little "problem". Anyone? Or anyone have another way to solve the problem? I have my tubes tied by the way so I have no need for birth control. Thanks in advance.

Unfortunately, the morning after pill doesn't induce menstruation. Usually, once a woman takes it, she still has to wait until the time she would normally have her period to be certain that she hasn't gotten pregnant.

You've also waited kind of late to look for a solution. If it were earlier and there were time, you could have talked to your doctor about taking oral contraceptives for awhile, to delay or skip this period.

Does anyone else have any ideas?
