Meloxicam For Chronic Pain/inflammation
UpdatedI have taken Indomethacine for chronic inflammation (possible spondylitis) for 3 weeks and it seemed to make the pain worse than while taking Advil. I switched to Meloxicam and have been taking it for a week. Again, no relief and perhaps it's even worse! Is it possible for these drugs to worsen the pain? How long does it generally take to get relief while taking these meds?

Unfortunately, some people do experience the opposite of the intended effects from any given medication.
It could be that you may need to explore other treatment options.
The FDA lists other typical side effects as possibly including nausea, headache, stomach irritation and increased risk of bleeding.
Have you only tried NSAIDs, so far?
