I am taking 5mg of Eliquis and 3mg of melatonin each day. Is it safe? I want to take melatonin twice a day for sleeping trouble. Is it okay?

Melatonin can increase the anticoagulation effects of Eliquis, according to FDA reports, so they should not be taken together, without your doctor's approval.

It would be best and safest to consult your doctor about what you can safely take to help with sleep problems.

Are you on any other medications?
