I'm on Xolair for my asthma and I also have liver damage from a blood transfusion, which gave me Hep C. Does this medication cause more damage? I just did a12week treatment with Harvoni.

Hello, Diane! How are you? I'm sorry about your health issues.

It may, Xolair is processed by the liver and should be used with caution in patients with impaired liver function or damage. Is your doctor monitoring you regularly?

The FDA lists the typical side effects of this medication as including pain, fatigue, earache and dermatitis.

Have you discussed your concerns with your doctor? Are you on any other medications?
