Medication For Excessive Bleeding During Period Time

My menstrual period lasts for about two weeks, during which i also suffer from headaches and drowsiness. Please advise.

I've been experiencing excessive bleeding during my period time and would like to know which medication to take for relief?

My friend has irregular mensuration. Sometimes once in 3 months, sometimes in 2 months or 6 months. At the time of menstruation heavy bleeding continues for 15-20 days, which causes weakness a lot and an inability to do daily activities also. So I would just like to know its cause and treatment?
