Prescription medications in the US are required to have an expiration date no shorter than one year from the date your prescription is filled.

After this point, Morphine does not become dangerous, but it can begin to lose efficacy and may not work as well.

Morphine is a very potent narcotic analgesic.

Common side effects may include: nausea, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.
