Hello, Jerry! How are you?

Your doctor changed your dosage, he has no control over which particular pill from what manufacturer that you receive from your pharmacy.

The reason your doctor made the change is most likely because at the end of the year, the one you were taking that had 650mgs of Acetaminophen in it will no longer be available. The FDA has called for a change in all of these combination medications to contain no more than 325mgs of Acetaminophen per dose, due to the risks it carries of liver damage or failure from long-term use and the possible dangers of overdose.

Thus, the new dosage your doctor prescribed only contains 325mgs of the Acetaminophen, with the 10mgs of Hydrocodone.

This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.

Is there anything else I can help with?
