UpdatedIf lyrica is affecting nerve pain and maybe even destroying the nerves slowly what is it doing to our brains?

Hello, Mary! How are you?
It doesn't destroy nerves. Where did you hear that?
It works by affecting the synapses in the brain that respond to pain signals, it prevents them from reacting and overreacting to stimuli.
It is actually an anticonvulsant that was later found to help with mood disorders and nerve pain. Its side effects may include nausea, dizziness, dry mouth and weight changes.
Are there any other questions or concerns?
