Hello, Lynn! How are you? I am so very sorry about what happened to your son.
It can be very difficult to recognize the symptoms, if no tick is seen on the person and if the typical bullseye rash is not seen. The general aches, pains and etc. can be mistaken for many other illnesses.
How is he doing, now? What medication is he on for it?
