Lower Dose Irbesartan

i have been taking 75mg irbesartan for a few years . my blood pressure would appear to be pretty low at the moment. i also take atenolol 50mg for rapid heartbeat. can i take half of a 75mg dose tablet

Hello, Nellyk! How are you doing? How low are you blood pressure readings?

Are they just occasionally low, or are they low, all the time.

It can vary, depending on your activity levels, what you've eaten and etc.

Are you on any other medications?

It would be best to consult your doctor and have more monitoring done, before lowering one of your medications.

The U.S. FDA lists the typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, increased urination and hypotension.
