Does lovastatin cause weight gain?

I have been taking Lovastatin for about 2 months and have gained about 5 pounds. Is this related. It seems like I am craving carbs all the time since I started this medication.

I have gained weight since taking lovastatin also, but no one will fess up that this may be related.

Some significant but rare side effects are leg pain and rare very severe leg pain rhabdomyolysis, others are headache back pain uti myalgia, diarrhea, dizziness, etc

I gained weight and was hungry for carbs. I quit taking it and my craving has gone!!

I have also gained weight. It's the first time i n 30 years that i have had to go up a size. I can't see any other reason

Not so rare. The problem is that doctors rarely pay attention to side effects caused by drugs they prescribe. Even more rarely do they have or take the time to report anything.
