Ever since taking I have been gaining weight like crazy and have had back pain, could it be from meds?

I've only been taking the meds for a few days but have been eating like a horse! Going to have to watch my food intake and exercise more, I guess. Goody!

Hello, William! How are you? Sorry about the problems you're having.

Yes, it could be from the medication. Most blood pressure medications can cause weight gain and some of them can cause joint or muscle aches.

Have you discussed your symptoms with your doctor? They should be able to determine if they are due to the medication and, if so, prescribe an alternative that isn't known to cause such side effects as frequently.
