I have been taking hidrclorozied for over4 years never had a problem but since march ive been i and out of the hospitsl for highbp, i have been to different doctors and all they ask if im stress finally i was prescribed losartan 50 mg and today i took half and will take half at night praying it will be better ,just had my bp checjed and was 157 /80 jusr so tired of feeling sick with this problem any suggestions

How long have you been taking the Losartan?
It is a great medication, but it may take 4 to 6 weeks for it to reach its full level of efficacy in your body, and it might not be the right medication to help you. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, increased urination, and hypotension.
Do you have a BP monitor of your own? Have you also been watching your diet to keep you sodium and fat intake as low as possible?
