I just had a very negative response to the new little green Losartan pill which is manufactured in India by Aurobindo. I've deduced Im allergic to several of the inactive ingredients probably including the yellow and blue dyes.

People need to be made aware of this change from the previous white pill!!

Losartan manufactured by Aurobindo lists the following inactive ingredients:

microcrystalline cellulose
corn starch
lactose monohydrate
pregelatinized starch (maize)
low substituted hydroxypropyl cellulose
magnesium stearate
hydroxypropyl cellulose
hypromellose 6 cP
titanium dioxide
FD&C blue #2/indigo carmine aluminum lake
D&C yellow #10 aluminum lake,
purified water

While I don't see gluten itself listed here, you may still want to follow up with the your doctor before trying a new medication, just to be sure there aren't any other derivatives of gluten that may also cause an allergy.

I've been feeling as if the green pills are bothering me too, now I have had sever stomach issues, had an ultra sound, CT scan, and endoscopy, and now being tested for celiac. I swear, these green pills are bad for me. How do we get our white ones back? The green pills also seem to make my photosensitivity worse. My dr tried to get insurance to cover brand name cozar, but insurance would not. I feel stuck taking a pill that is hurting me. How do we get help for this? So fed up with all this generic stuff, and insurance that does not listen to our own doctor.
