Losartan-hctz Pill With 49 On One Side

Ok, is the yellow losartan pill 25 mg or 100 mg? Kind of confusing. Is this a high dosage or a low dosage?

Is the marking E 49?

If so this tablet is listed by Aurobindo Pharma as containing 25mgs of Hydrocholorothiazide and 100mgs of Losartan. It is used to treat high blood pressure, and certain cardiac conditions. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, increased urination, dehydration, and hypotension.

Thus, it is actually neither, since it s a combination medication that contains 2 active ingredients, in different dosages.
