what long term affects does this drug have

I've been taking Hydrocodone 10mg/Acetaminophen 325 mg (3-6 TABS a day)
If I stop taking this abruptly, how severe will withdrawals be. Will I possibly not have severe withdrawals?
Is it better to "wean' off gradually?
