Lopressor 25mg

Have been on Metoprolol tartate 25 mg for a yeay now, I take half a pill 12.5 mg bid.
For one week I have been feeling light headed and my BP has been from 150/55 to 110/47 most of the time the systolic has been in the low 50's or 47.
Should I bee concerned.I am 77 years old and very active,walk daily 2-3 miles.

Hello, Henriette! How are you? Sorry about the problem you're having.

And yes, you should consult your doctor. At your age, you can become much more sensitive to medications, so they may actually work better for you than they would for a younger person and that may be what's causing the low number. You may need to switch to a different medication, or lower the dosage of this even further.

I've found a very similar problem, if my systolic drops under 60, I tend to get very dizzy/light headed and just generally feel awful.
