Looking For Pain Management In Louisiana

Hi I'm in search of pain management in La. I'm 36 years old I've been on methadone 120mgs daily for right at 10 years and rxc 30s for breakthrough pain and I call my Dr to verify my appointment and the nurse tells me..... yes but just to let u know he can't write narcotics anymore. What am I to do? So I'm in a desperate situation and in need of a Dr that will see me. I was in a race boating accident 10 years ago and messed myself up too much to list. I have 10 years of paper work all printouts and can verify what I was taking, so can someone help me please?

You won't find a dr that will prescribe you the meds that you've been getting at that high of a dose. You may not find a dr that will prescribe you both of the meds either. You will need a copy of your medical records from your last dr. Call your insurance company and ask them for a list of pain management drs in your area that takes your insurance.
