Looking For A Pharmacy To Fill My Kadian 100mg Capsule Brand Specific

The pharmacy I have used for years claims their wholesaler discontinued it. The drug is available but don't know where to fill it in my area. I am in Lake County, Florida. Generics do not work for me and I need brand specific which my insurance does cover. Thanks for any pharmacy names where I can fill this script.

I'm sorry, but there's really nothing you can do, they are not obligated to order and stock any medication.

This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.

Have you tried other pharmacies in your area? Can anyone suggest one that has it in stock?

We are now into the time of year, when there are usually shortages of controlled substances due to mandatory manufacturing limits. Once a manufacturer reaches their allotted limit, they can not manufacture any new product, until after the new year.

Thanks for your response and now this month I am on a hunt for any pharmacy in my area who will carry the drug for me. My problem is generics do not work for me. I have to use brand specific. I had been with this pharmacy for over 10 years now and using the same medication for years. I thought supporting a "Mom and Pop" drug store was better but finding it was not in my favor for sure. To outright lie and say the drug was 'discontinued from manufacturer' was just such a slap in the face. Did they not think I would contact the manufacturer to see what the issue was. Guess not. as the manufacturer gave me the new code for the Pharmacy to use to order the product. But to no avail as their wholesaler just refuses to carry it. It is my baseline med and I am with Pain Management and it is important to have what I need just to live halfway pain free. Thanks for your input with this.

I have taken the 100 mg for years and Illive in Greeneville Tennessee and none of the pharmacies carry it any more, but they were carrying the60 mg, so my doctor gave that to me and up the mg of my roxeys, I got the 60 mg of the Kadian for 1 month and now can't get them.

Kadian 100 is still available in 2019! Many pharmacies do not stock it due to the cost; but it can be ordered from their wholesaler. The generic works just as well in this case. Price difference is huge. The brand name can be 2000$ for a month vs 600$ for generic (in NC).
