Looking For A Dr To Prescribe Methadone

I live in FtWorth Tx and need help finding a Dr. to prescribe methadone
for chronic pain. .I have been going to a clinic for 4 years and the price keeps on going up and i cant afford to continue go i have insurance so i just need help finding a dr.any help would be appreciated

Hello, Jenell! How are you? I'm sorry about the problem that you're having.

However, if you've been going to a clinic, then a regular doctor will not be able to prescribe it for you. Regardless of why you were going, the fact that it was an addiction treatment clinic is listed in your medical records and it would be illegal for a regular doctor to prescribe it for you. Thus, I'm sorry, but a clinic is your only option.

The FDA classifies this medication as an opiate, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.

Does anyone else have any ideas that may help?
