Looking For A Doctor Who Takes Medacare To Prescribe Me Pain Meds In Reno Nv

was going to clenic was getting 10 mg methadone they wont take medacare now cant get a doctor to help me

Hi, Andrew! Sorry about the problem that you're having.

However, if you were going to an addiction clinic, even if it was for pain treatment, then that is what is in your medical records and a regular doctor can't prescribe Methadone for you. Once you're listed as being under addiction treatment, you can only get it from those that are specially trained in its use and under current laws, a private physician can't prescribe it for addiction treatment.

You aren't the first person that's run into this problem, there have been quite a few other posts about it, because many people in severe pain who were having trouble getting help elsewhere resorted to a Methadone clinic for assistance, not realizing how it would be perceived in their medical records and that a regular doctor can't help them after that.

You will most likely be better off asking them to refer you to another clinic that accepts Medicare.

Does anyone know of one in that area?
