Loestrin 20 No Period

Hello,

I started taking Loestrin 20 last month, after 4 months of being on Microgynon (which had bad effects on me). I took it for 21 days and then stopped, as I had been advice by the doctor. However, I have a 12 day delay on my period (41 days since my last period) and I am a bit concerned.. I have done 2 pregnancy tests and they were both negative so I am wondering what else can be wrong? Also, just to clarify, I havent started taking the pill again.

There may not necessarily be anything wrong, it could just be due to your body adjusting to the hormones in the new contraceptive. It is normal to have irregularities for the first 3 months or so of taking a new one.

However, you should consult your doctor to be certain, they may want to run some tests or do an exam.

But you should also be informed that it isn't actually harmful to miss one, if there's nothing dangerous going on, which is why you should check in with your doctor, just to be safe.
