Lo Loestrin Fe Side Effects Similar To Yaz
UpdatedI was reading the comments on Lo Loestrin Fe birth control pills and the side effects seem similar to mines. Some periods were short and some periods were longer (from 2 days to 5 days) and on other periods, I missed one in between. In my head, I thought these pills don't work as well as the other pills offered with other gynocologists. I actually stopped taking the pills because I was afraid the pills might mess my hornomanl system up. Hope there is some people who can easily say that there is birth control with advising to notice (diet changes and condoms).

All oral contraceptives, as well as the shots and Mirena IUD are hormonal based and can mess up your natural hormonal balance. That is just what happens, when you add synthetic hormones to your body and unfortunately, even discontinuing them doesn't always result in your body balancing them back out on its own. Sometimes the problems are permanent and those are on top of the other possible risks and side effects that can be associated with them.
There is a copper T IUD that doesn't use hormones, but it can cause very heavy menstrual bleeding.
Condoms are very safe, since they have a high level of efficacy at preventing pregnancy and they can also prevent STD transmission, so you protect yourself in several ways.
There are spermicides available that can help, but their efficacy varies, they don't protect against STDs and proper usage can also play a role. The Today Sponge for instance can be inserted several hours before sexual activity and you leave it in for several hours after, the main issue with it is that it is more effective for women that have never had a child. If a woman has ever been pregnant, its efficacy rate falls, though I am not sure why.
Another one available is called VCF for vaginal contraceptive film, it only needs to be inserted about 15 minutes or so before sex and it dissolves, so there is nothing to remove. It has a higher efficacy rating than the sponge, especially for women that have been pregnant.
The problem with these is that some of them also contain substances that can affect the estrogen levels in your body and throw your hormones off and cause other problems, so if that's something you want to stay away from, you may want to avoid spermicides and lubes.
There are several natural methods that can be used, but they are not as effective as hormonal methods, condoms or spermicides, mainly due to improper timing and use, such as people being unreliable or misunderstanding. One method would be having the man pull out, he has to know his body very well and be willing to do so and there can still be a small failure rate if sperm are released prematurely.
You can also research and try the rhythm method, which helps you learn your fertile days for ovulation, then you'd just abstain from sex during the time period that you may possibly get pregnant. Women only ovulate at a certain time of the month, usually about 14 days before your period or about half-way through your cycle, so the exact days can vary from woman to woman. But the available information will teach you how to recognize when you are, so you know that's the time that there would be a pregnancy risk. As I mentioned, this is also not a full proof method.
One natural option would be a natural progesterone cream, but you have to use a pretty high dose of at least 200mgs a day, which can be quite a lot of cream and it has to be used consistently to prevent ovulation from occurring. Since its natural, it actually helps the hormonal balance of your body, rather than upsetting it. It is available over the counter, so anyone can purchase it. It has several advantages, since it can help with conditions such as PMS and PCOS/PCOD, as well. However, at any given time added stress may affect the level of Progesterone in your body, which also means the efficacy rate would be lowered. When used properly, it has a failure rate of a little less than 3%, but as I said it does have to be used very carefully.
There are also emergency contraceptives, sometimes called the 'morning after pill" that can be purchased without a prescription in the U.S. and several other countries. They are most effective if taken within 24 hours of unprotected sex and the efficacy level decreases the longer you wait, but one can be taken up to 5 days after. These are also hormonal based, so they aren't something that should be used as your regular source of contraception, but for those spontaneous times that sex occurs and you didn't have other methods with you to use, they are a good option to have available.
All such choices should be discussed with your doctor to make sure they are safe for you to use and to ensure that you understand proper usage and the associated risks.
There are no dietary options for preventing pregnancy, if there were than every woman in the world would be using them, rather than resorting to other more costly methods.
However, you can also combine methods to lower your risk of pregnancy, such as using a condom and the rhythm method, or the rhythm method and pulling out.
Are there any other questions?
Is there anything else I can help with?
