Lisinopril Smaller Size
UpdatedYes i noticed the same thing my 20mg pills were half the size I used to take. My BP spikes to 180 over 120 when normaly it was 125 over 75. I think they changed the pill, my Dr switched me to another BP med & everything is back 2 normal. Everybody taking Lisinopril should monitor there BP, dont trust it anymore.

my BP has been running higher since the size of pill changed. I was before in the normal range and now it is reading much higher. Why is that.
Pharmacist said no worries - same drug, but I don't believe it. Signs of ED which I never had before. I'm going to call my cardiologist and ask to switch to something else. Thank goodness for this website and glad people are willing to share.
I too am having issues. I’ve taken 20mg for 7 years with no issues. Now I have BP spikes, nausea and dizziness. I just don’t feel well when I was feeling perfect.
A week and a half ago I got my Lisinopril 10mg refill from Kaiser Pharmacy who I have my insurance through. The first thing I noticed that the pills are half the size. It says 10mg on it, it’s still pink but it’s much smaller. My intuition tells me they can’t be the same. I know the pharmacy is going to tell me it’s the same thing. I’ve been a medical professional for 25 years so I know how these things work. My gut instinct tells me that it’s NOT the same, less medication most likely. My average blood pressure has been much higher ever since taking these. I know myself so well, I can even tell when my BP is up a little. As one poster mentioned, it might be time to switch to a new BP medicine. They may claim it’s the same, but the proof lies in the way that patients feel. They say it’s the same drug dosage but smaller, but my body is telling me otherwise. Always trust your body and the way you feel. You may know something just isn’t right. Looks like India based Lupin is trying to extend their profits apparently.
Re: Michael (# 4)
Same with me. I have Kaiser and I have noticed higher BP with the new pills. Also another issue is I seem to have hair loss. I have always had great hair, but since I've been taking the smaller 10 mg pill, my hair is getting really thin. I need to consult with my doc. Thanks for sharing.
