Grapefruit can decrease the proper metabolism of many drugs, and therefore decrease/or almost cancel out the effect of this drug on the body (in this case with lisinopril ..blood pressure may not be properly decreased to the full effectiveness it should be at) Do not take grapefruit/juice at the same time. I would wait 2-4 hours after administration of medication to avoid an interaction, if you MUST have grapefruit. Safest is to just switch to a different fruit!

That is correct and it should be noted that this does not just refer to grapefruit juice, but to anything using it and the actual fruit itself, since it all contains the same substances.
