Lisinopril 10 Mg Pill

I received a new prescription for lisinopril 10mg. The bottle said Lisinopril 10 mg tablet lup previously and was a small round pink tablet. The new prescirption does not say lup after tablet and is an oval pink pill with #101 on it. Is this the same medicine. My pharmacist did not mention anythiing to me about it.

The reason it doesn't say LUP after the pill is because that is the abbreviation for the manufacturer and your new tablet is made by a different company. It is, however, the same medication and the same dosage.

Lisinopril is used to help lower blood pressure.

Common side effects may include: nausea, drowsiness, dizziness and headache.

I've taken 10 mg Lisinopril from Lupin for 15 years. Today, I opened the bottle and the pill was 1/2 the size it used to be. Exact same color, mfg., number on the pill, but 1/2 the size - no difference except smaller - like it was shrunken by a laser from a sci-fi movie. I asked the pharmacist if they had removed some filler or something like that and she acted like I had asked her to describe the space-time continuum. Any info. is greatly appreciated!
