Lip Is Swollen 3days And Still)big Pimple

I popped a pimple that was on my upper lip,I went to work by that night my lip on one side is)swollen and hurts,I have put hot compresses on it and keep)squeezing the pus out of the pimple but my lip is still swollen after 3days n still hurts.what should I do I have to go to work and it looks horrible?

What did it look like?

Given the swelling, I am wondering if it was a cold sore, rather than a pimple. They very commonly cause swelling, but the substance that comes out of them is a clear liquid, according to the NIH, unlike the white pus you would get from a pimple. A cold sore looks more like a blister, or a cluster of tiny blisters.

Additionally, if you do occasionally get cold sores, popping a pimple on your lip could irritate the nerves and cause a flare up.

Have you tried putting ice on it, to see if the swelling goes down?

Either way, you need to stop squeezing it, the more you do that, the more irritated it is going to be and the longer the swelling is going to last.

At this point, if it is still swollen, you should see your doctor.
