This contains the active ingredient Lidocaine, which is a topical anesthetic. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including skin irritation, redness, flakiness, and soreness.

It is available over the counter, in most countries, now.

Rahul, have you consulted a doctor? There may be other medications better suited for your piles.
