Hi Jill,
Based on the description provided, I did find one account of a round light blue pill with an "M" imprinted on one side and blank on the other. The "M" is in a typewriter-like font. And while its identity is currently "unconfirmed", this particular pill is believed to be a form of Diazepam from Thailand.
Now, because this is a fairly vague description for a pill, I'm still kinda skeptical of there being other round light blue pills with an M on one side and blank on the other in various parts of the world. In that respect, your son's pill may very well be different from that which I discovered, but hopefully this can at least serve as one strong possibility.
Does anyone else recognize a pill like this?

Sounds like an m box 30 mg Oxycodone to me manufactured by Mallinckrodt

#this sounds like an M-30 which is a high dosage Perc (opiate). It’s almost impossible to find real ones, they are almost always cut with Fentanyl. Please take that away from him. No diazepam is small blue and M on it.
