A Lortab is a Narcotic Pain killer and a Xanax is in the same class as a valium. very different.

Joy is correct on those, though it should be noted that Xanax is a benzodiazepine, so it does have the potential to be habit forming. I believe that's why many think it's a narcotic or related to one.
