My gosh I am so sorry to hear that. I hope the family will be seeking compensation for this in some form or another. It is really really sad when the side effects of the drug overpower it's intended use. I think the med you are talking about is called Lexapro - I would read about it. I am not sure if extreme depression or suicidal tendencies is a common side effect of this. May God bless you, your friend, and your friend's family.
