Levothyroxine is used to treat thyroid disorders, it is not intended to be used as an aid to weight loss.

Many people with a thyroid issue tend to gain weight and some of them do lose it, when they get it under control, but most actually don't.

Both the medication and the thyroid issues tend to cause them to gain weight, or be unable to lose.
