Levofloxacin Winthrop 500mg Tab

Levofloxacin Winthrop 500mg was prescribed for my tonsil stones. The side effects that I have experienced are body swelling and I became sensitive to others talking about me. My heart rate also increased. My infection though is clearing, so the antibiotic did prove to have more pros than cons.

The body swelling is not a normal side effect of this antibiotic. As reported by the FDA, they typically include symptoms, such as nausea, dizziness, headache and non-allergic skin rash.

If you experienced swelling, you may be allergic to this medication and you should have this checked out by your doctor.

Yes, Given, it can be used, but it depends what type of STI and whether or not your doctor feels it is an appropriate medication to treat it.

I'm glad the antibiotic worked for you, however, the Fluoroquinolone antibiotics are a very dangerous antibiotic with many side effects that can be very damaging. In the VAST majority of cases of urinary tract infections, there are safer antibiotics that can be used instead of the Fluoroquinolone drugs such as Levofloxacin. In MOST cases, the different antibiotics actually work better for UTI's as well.

There are so many problems associated with the Fluoroquinolone antibiotics that it's always better to see if there are any other classes of antibiotics that you can take instead of Levaquin, Cipro, or Avelox.
