Levetiracetam is an anticonvulsant, used to treat epilepsy.

As to watching TV being dangerous, it really depends, so you should follow your doctor's advice. Some things that have a high flicker rate, with a lot of flashing can set off seizures.

Some of the most common side effects of this medication may include: nausea, hair loss and a pins and needles sensation in the extremeties.
