Lercanidipine Not Good For Me
UpdatedI have been taking lercanidipine for 1 week and my bp has gone up to 212/101 from 136/85. I have leg pain, dry mouth, sore tongue, puffy eyes, swollen ankles, lower backaches and very tired. Was advised to change from previous medication as potassium was low, although blood pressure was stable. I had no side effects with that medication. What should I do?

Those can be typical side effects of this medication, as detailed by the U.S. FDA. You may also experience nausea, dizziness, headache, and increased urination.
They are usually transient and should go away, after about 4 to 5 weeks, once your body gets used to the medication. If they do not go away, or if they worsen, you should consult your doctor.
Is there anything else I can help with?
