Leaking Lymp Nodes On My Ankles

I've read one time in a doctors magazine while waiting to see my doctor about a young woman who had leaking lymp nodes on her ankles. I have the same. The doctor article said bandage the area very tightly and it would dry them up...it worked, but sometimes other nodes start up again. The article also said it could be caused from poor circulation which could be true in my situation. Is there any 'dead on' cure for this problem,? I have been suffering with this problem for two years now. They don't really hurt or ich they are sore in spots. I've almost corrected the problem with my left ankle, my right on is acting up. Right now it is sore ans oozing. Oh! yes I am 83 years you, thank you for any help . Carl

Hello, Carl! How are you?

Have you informed your doctor of the problem?

Generally, it occurs due to some type of trauma to the skin that's allowing small cracks or cuts to occur, so the fluid can leak.

In most cases, it is treated by throughly cleaning the area to help prevent infection, moisturizing the skin to prevent further cracking, then placing an absorbent dressing on it and wrapping it with a compression bandage, as explained by the NIH.

After that, it's really a matter of preventing it from happening, again, by keeping the skin moisturized and trying to prevent further injury.
