A light and dark capsule marked with "Lannett 1552" contains the following active ingredients: Aspirin (325mg) + Butalbital (50mg) + Caffeine (40mg).

Butalbital itself is a barbiturate and I do agree that the muscle relaxing properties of this medication can be habit forming. However, this alone should not deter patients from using it if that's the only discrepancy. The mental and physical dependence that comes with taking anything for a long time or in larger doses is something that can easily be avoided by responsible users. In my honest opinion, we're all habitual creatures and it really just depends on each individual's mindset and their ability to continue administering it in safe doses.
