What medication has she been prescribed?
Most tablets, or capsules will not contain enough to cause issues, according to NIH studies. The amounts in them are miniscule, so it would not be the same as drinking milk, or eating cheese.
What types of issues does she experience from lactose?
Tell her to ask her pharmacist what pharmaceuticals he uses and then search each drug by that pharmaceutical. It should show what the inactive ingredients are.
