Yes, Klorcon's generic name is Potassium Chloride. However this is not an extended release (ER) tablet, unless otherwise stated.

Potassium Chloride is in the class of drugs called potassium supplements that are used to prevent hypokalaemia.

NOTE: Orally, KCl is toxic in excess.
