I tried ketamine infusions twice for depression and had horrible side effects like I always do from anesthesia. I was wondering if anyone knows if there is an alternative method available yet like pill form or nasal spray. My Dr did not know. I was so optimistic this would fix my depression but am now frustrated that I can't tolerate the IV experince. I live in ohio but travel often for my job so I could potentially see a Dr in another state if anyone has suggestions. Thanks in advance.

Hi, just had a ketamine infusion last week, my pain doctors are cutting back my pain meds, oxycodone.
Ketamine infusion is the scariest treatment I ever had, I was seeing things, it was very frightening and did not help my pain.

What side effects did you experience? Could please post back and be more specific?

The side effects will not change, from one dosage form to another, in most cases, and the FDA warns that it may cause headache, drowsiness, nausea, vomiting, mood changes, and weight changes.

Are you on any other medications?
