Kansas City Mo Pain Medication Prescribers (Page 7) (Top voted first)

Updated

I am uninsured and have a referral to a pain management clinic, but cannot afford the clinic. I would like to know of any cheap doctors who would prescribe the narcotic pain medication I need to be on in the Kansas City MO area.

Honest to God, get yourself some kratom powder. And Red vein will help. I was on 300 mg of oxycodone a day. I wasn't "fine" but kratom powder took away 75% of the withdrawals. It helped with pain too. Honestly, it's the greatest all natural herbal supplement you can get. It's legal in most states. For immediate relief I know a lot of "smoke shops" sell it. It's more expensive that way. I order powder on the internet from a few reputable sources. Gaia botanicals seems to give the best value for the money. If you want more information Google the kratom bible. It gives you a lot of information from dosages to what strain helps best for your condition. I know this post is a couple months old, but I hope it finds you. Eventually 90% of chronic pain patients for back, neck pain are going to lose opiates as a tool. Not fair....not right. But people need to be prepared with something to help. Withdrawals from opiates ended up being worse that than the pain. If you try it and it helps, please sign petitions to keep it legal. The DEA is colluding with big pharma to ban it. They can't patent a plant, ergo they can't make any money on it. Regardless, if you're in a bind give it a try. Best of luck.

Hi, Your State signed on with the new Affordable Care Act. From what I've recently been told it is paying for Rx medications. It will not pay for stem cell therapy, acupuncture, chiropractors, etc. but will pay for actual MD's and Rx's. It's now against the law for you to not have insurance so they are supposed to pay it for you if you don't have the money for it and are unable to work. How far have you investigated this new avenue? It seems to me like Drs are just beginning to maybe get it figured out a little bit. Call the Pain Specialist and ask if they take it. The worst they can say is No.

I live in Kansas city, I'm going through the same thing. I have insurance. Truman medical will not give u pain medication for your pain. I finally got my doctor to give me pain medication, but it's limitations, I have severe arthritis in my back, and I'm still waiting for for my pain meds cause the doctor wrote the wrong description on the meds. Walmart called truman to get in touch with my doctor to correct this so I can get my pain meds. It's 3:55 doctor at truman medical still has not returned Walmart pharmacy. Yes, I'm putting out there. Patients including myself treat people at truman medical center in Kc.mo on Holmes. We all need to get in touch with Congress. We need help. This, is supposed to be America. I feel for these people cause I'm going through the same thing and I have insurance, and my doctor won't write a referral. Silky

Jennifer, patient becoming addicted to pain medications is one of the reasons it is difficult to find doctor that will treat pain with opiates now.

I'm not a big fan of back surgery. My very good friend died within 36 hours agter minor back surgery. I know ut wasn't from the surgery a blood clot broke loose and lodged in his hear. This man was very physically fit. I use to joke about it would be my luck to have an unfaithful husband to do my surgery and the nurse woukd lean next to him and whisper "I'm pregnant" and with a quick jurking motion, poofI would be paralyzed. That's the kind of luck I have.
