Prescriped for diabetis type 2 with actos. I was looking to gain weight with a different drug than metformin.

Most of the side effects are the same as they are for Metformin, except for nausea and cold symptoms, which were more prominent with Januvia.
Weight gain, however, is not a typical side effect of either one.
