Jadelle Side Effects

Am currently on jadelle which is causing heavy bleeding and have been prescribed Norethestrone. Am worried if this will reduce the effectiveness of jadelle that I will fall pregnant since the bleeding has stopped.

i dont think it will affect the effectiveness of the jadelle but you rather visit your doctor for advice

I have to agree with Gamuchirai. If it would alter the effectiveness, your doctor most likely would have said such, when they prescribed it.

it is just another hormone, very similar to what's already in the Jadelle. Thus, it actually usually inhibits ovulation, as well.

Had jadelle 4 a year & 3mnths . Now having erregular periods 4 the past 3 mnths with a break of 5 days in btwn. The bleeding is heavy
What can I do. Im considering removing it.

i am jadelle for the past 2 years and currently started heavy bleeding non stop was once prescribed to use control pills abd brufen, erithromycin and it stopped for about amonth then came back with a heavy flow should i keep taking the control pills or i should see the doctor worried.?

I had Jadelle for three years, I bled continuously for the first 7 months day after day, I thought ok I will give it sometime as I definitely wouldn't get pregnant, a year later it calmed down but I would bleed for 8-12 days then have at least a 6 day break then bleed again, I went to the doctors time and time again, they gave me pills to stop the bleeding so I thought fantastic!...it wasn't fantastic at all because I had to rely on those pills to stop the bleeding, I eventually had the rods removed on 05.01.2015, Im no longer moody and I have lost 11kgs within one month, in saying that I gained around 40kgs while on Jadelle, best thing I done was removed the implants.

Hi iam rajnita I have five kids ...one way iam happy iam on jadelle...like it's a long term protection. ..but i have alot of side effects. .I lose alot of weight and my period it's like non stop

I've been Jadelle for 7 months now, and been bleeding 4 months after the implant till now. I'm suffering hair loss, tiredness and rapid weight gain. These are all normal side- effects right? Is there anything to do about it?

Are you still bleeding? Is it light bleeding? Did you get any breaks yet? I just recently got the Jadelle and I've been bleeding for over 2 weeks now. I am just wondering if it will last for as long as you say. Did you see a doctor?

Hi there,

I have had my implant removed 5days ago now and have had heavy bleeding the last 3 days is this normal to bleed after?

I had it removed after bleeding everyday for the last 9month, moody, sore breasts plus I have a new partner and want to start a family.
I was offered medication to stop the bleeding but I just wanted it out of my body.

am using jadelle, 5 months now no periods, am i pregnant? if yes, how can i know before testing?, if no, will it be like that for the 5yrs, does this show that its not suitable for me? pliz reply am worried!!!!!
