Hi Elmash,

Although I'm not familiar with your location, my findings state that are there plenty of gynecologists and other health-care providers within that region who should be more than qualified enough to remove a Jadelle implant.

Similarly to the insertion procedure, your health-care provider should numb the area with a local anesthetic. Under sterile conditions, a small (1/8 inch) incision will be made through which the implants should be removed. From what I've read, the removal process is said to take more time than the insertion procedure, because If the implants are too deep, they can end up being more difficult to remove. In the event that both implants cannot be removed, additional visits and incisions may have to be considered.

Do you have a primary care doctor or gynecologist that you went to upon receiving the implant? If you do, it seems like it would make sense to just go back to them. But at least it's comforting to know that most other physicians can also be of assistance.
