Jadelle Contraception Side Effects (Page 3)

Has anyone had the jadelle implant and had bad side effects? I got it done a weeks ago and have started light bleeding over the last few days and it wont go away as well as my skin breaking out.

I seem to be having the same trouble as you, only a year later. Did this sort itself. ie no bleeding and low sex drive?

i have had the jadelle for nearly a year. i got my period every two weeks for the first 6 months, then it stopped. i have not had my period since, i have found it to be very good and well worth it. only problem is that it aches every now and then,
but everyone reacts to i differntly. because some people have bad side effects it does not mean that it will be the same for you.
definetly worth a shot

iv had my jadelle for a year now and im getting it taken out,my bleeding hasnt stopped.the longest time time it did was three weeks.my hair is falling out and iv had breakouts that scare,mood swings that arent good and im feeling rundown all the time.

I've been on the Jadelle for just over a year now and had my period only 3x have definately had mood swings and definate weight gain of almost 10kgs, besides all that i say give it a shot, if it means not having to worry about taking pills or getting pregnant. And weight gain is nothing compared to having a child.

To anyone that has had jadelle removed...along did it take for symptoms...side effects to subside?

Iv had chronic abdo pain and migraines the last four months...had jadelle for 16months...bloods and ultra sound came back clear so doctor wanted to remove Jadelle ( I actually quite liked it) but in an attempt to get rid of the pain and these migraines said ok...remove it...

Its been out a week and no change in pain...

just wondering how long others took?

Not the only one with these symptoms! The jadelle is okay for not having to worry about getting pregnant, but because of my late periods i still was always worrying! Good luck to anyone who try's it! Everyone's different but I don't think my body reacts well to hormone contraceptive.

Diclofenac sodium is the medical name for voltaren?? how does that control bleeding? Ive had Jadelle for almost 2 year, my last period started lighter then usual, was normal for a week (like my past ones) then continued spotting/light bleeding for nearly 2 more weeks! really annoying!!

Thats not bad side effects. those are normal ones. ur doc should have told u about them

i have these same problems i have had jadelle since october 2011 it is now june 2012 and since i have had the jadelle , i have skin problems , weight gain , an only had my period twice in nine months.

Ive had jadell inserted since starting of may 2012 and since then (now mid june) ive been getting light bleeding all the time. Some days it will be lighter but a lot of the times it will be quite heavy.(but never as heavy as period) i am so so sick of this, so does going on the pill make it better??i really love the idea that i dont have to worry about taking the pill but light bleeding all the time means no sex!! Argggg

I've had the jadelle implant for just over a year now. I can't remember the last time I had a period, i've put on 10 kilos, have horrible skin, and am starting to fear that I have depression. I'm not sure whether this is all due to the implant or it is just a coincidence.

I've had jadelle in for over a year now and I get my period 2-3 times in one month with only about 3-4 days inbetween. It's getting extremely annoying. Is it normal?

im 30 year old lady with 2 kidzs i was inserted jadelle after 1year now im experiencing heavy bleedind any heavy tummy and tight tummy after eating now makes me worries so much due to loosing lots of my blood daily and unconfertable please advice what can i do to stop happening thanks.

evil bloody thngs they r i tell every 1 i know not to get 1! i had 1 for ova a year , my partner and i had a great sex live now there is no sex i cant stand it (so not like me), i thought once i had it taken out thngs would go back to how it use to b but no such luck!! i got chest pains bad skin on face and back, bleed 4 a year wth only a day or two break inbetween, but worst of all i got sore hands at 1st i did nothing about it but then the pain went up my arm then numbness came and i couldnt even pick up my kiddies 4 a cuddle (5 sad lil faces) 100's trips to doctor later and her not listening to my feelings about how i knew it was the implant cause'n my problems i had it taken out ouch worse then have'n it put in im very slowing getting back to myself and by the way another thng they dnt tell u it only lasts 4yrs not 5 yrs if you way ova 60kg please please dont put ur self through hell do not get the jadell implant

i have jadelle for the past 13months... since the past 7 month i have been experiencing my period every 2month for 10 days is that normal. is this normal.. should i be concerned... plus at the beginning and ending of ever cycle it is really smelly

have got blood tests back frm doctor , not good all the pains in my hands and arms is carpal tunnel! i am now the 3rd woman i know to develop this while being on jadelle please ladies join me and have your's taken out asap!!!! take care girls!!!

I've been using Jadelle for over 2 years now, Ive only ever had my period twice. First time was last year, it lasted the normal 5-8day cycle. Second time it lasted 2 weeks, 4 day break, then began again for another two weeks. This is normal, it is your body trying to get rid of old blood that has been sitting inside you for so long. If you are worried about blood loss, take some iron tablets- I did the second time.
I also gained a huge amount of weight within 2 weeks of having the implant in. I gained a whopping 8kg's. This is apparently also normal because as soon as I get off Jadelle, i will lose it all.
Everyone mustn't forget- Jadelle is a foreign object in your arm, your body doesnt realise what's hit it. Give it some time. It's made my life a heck of a lot easier
