Has anyone had the jadelle implant and had bad side effects? I got it done a weeks ago and have started light bleeding over the last few days and it wont go away as well as my skin breaking out.
I've had the jadelle implant for just over a year now. I can't remember the last time I had a period, i've put on 10 kilos, have horrible skin, and am starting to fear that I have depression. I'm not sure whether this is all due to the implant or it is just a coincidence.
Ive had jadell inserted since starting of may 2012 and since then (now mid june) ive been getting light bleeding all the time. Some days it will be lighter but a lot of the times it will be quite heavy.(but never as heavy as period) i am so so sick of this, so does going on the pill make it better??i really love the idea that i dont have to worry about taking the pill but light bleeding all the time means no sex!! Argggg
i have these same problems i have had jadelle since october 2011 it is now june 2012 and since i have had the jadelle , i have skin problems , weight gain , an only had my period twice in nine months.
Thats not bad side effects. those are normal ones. ur doc should have told u about them
Diclofenac sodium is the medical name for voltaren?? how does that control bleeding? Ive had Jadelle for almost 2 year, my last period started lighter then usual, was normal for a week (like my past ones) then continued spotting/light bleeding for nearly 2 more weeks! really annoying!!
I have had the jadelle in for 1 year now, getting it in was fine as I didn't really mind the pain. But the first night I felt so extremely emotional( depressed) which I could
Say I have never felt previous to the jadelle. I was going to take it out but fort I wud leave it in and see how I go. I had constant bleeding for a couple of weeks and then was getting my period every 3 rd week. I was getting my period every month but 2 weeks late from the last time, so I never knew when it was coming. I have been
And still suffering from major headaches which never use to be a problem for me, aswell as weight gain and bloating. I am a pretty active person with 2 young children and also enjoy physical activity but since I have had the jadelle, I have notice my drive in wanting to any physical activity had dropped and I think the jadelle is the cause of this. Now my bleeding is very minimal I had a period was only 1 day long but have been getting pain in my pelvic region and also feel like flutters in my stomach which reminds me of when I was pregnant, breast are more tender and have had more depressing thoughts then I usually would! Am getting the jadelle out ASAP, now that I have read I am
Not the only one with these symptoms! The jadelle is okay for not having to worry about getting pregnant, but because of my late periods i still was always worrying! Good luck to anyone who try's it! Everyone's different but I don't think my body reacts well to hormone contraceptive.
To anyone that has had jadelle removed...along did it take for symptoms...side effects to subside?
Iv had chronic abdo pain and migraines the last four months...had jadelle for 16months...bloods and ultra sound came back clear so doctor wanted to remove Jadelle ( I actually quite liked it) but in an attempt to get rid of the pain and these migraines said ok...remove it...
Its been out a week and no change in pain...
just wondering how long others took?
I've been on the Jadelle for just over a year now and had my period only 3x have definately had mood swings and definate weight gain of almost 10kgs, besides all that i say give it a shot, if it means not having to worry about taking pills or getting pregnant. And weight gain is nothing compared to having a child.
iv had my jadelle for a year now and im getting it taken out,my bleeding hasnt stopped.the longest time time it did was three weeks.my hair is falling out and iv had breakouts that scare, mood swings that arent good and im feeling rundown all the time.
i have had the jadelle for nearly a year. i got my period every two weeks for the first 6 months, then it stopped. i have not had my period since, i have found it to be very good and well worth it. only problem is that it aches every now and then,
but everyone reacts to i differntly. because some people have bad side effects it does not mean that it will be the same for you.
definetly worth a shot
I seem to be having the same trouble as you, only a year later. Did this sort itself. ie no bleeding and low sex drive?
I cant say anything nice about Jadelle! I had it in and out within 3 weeks - I couldn't move my arm properly without it hurting for almost a week. By the end of 2nd week my arm was swollen, tender 2 touch, couldn't hold my 1year old or any weigh without extreme pain, started to lose feeling in arm from implant to hand, increase in depression and aggresion. To add to this family planning told me it wood take 2 weeks to c me. After visiting A & E, 2 hospitals and 9 hours of waiting. North Shore hospital finally found someone to remove it. Woman should be warned its not worth trying Jadelle as I still have pain and a lump in my arm.
the good thing about Jadelle is that most people fall pregnant pretty quickly after it is removed.... unlike the depo provera etc
Hi am have had jadelle in for 4 months now and have had lighter bleeding but now its very heavy and has been 3 weeks of this now. I have no energy and often have a sore stomach . plz help
i have had the jadelle in for about 15 month now and i have had enough i have been on antibotics twice cream for the area in which is now red and blue like a bruse pain in my arm gained weight which my gp said i would;nt so back on the pill i go
I had the same problem too, after having the jadelle previously i had a very itchy body cant stop scratching my body when its itchy
No it is not normal to have ongoing bleeding with any contraceptive. It is unacceptable and your GP should be telling you all the side effects. If you are having these problems its because this type of hormone is not agreeing with you. You should have it removed.
im going to get my6 implants taken out today i have had the worst side affects. the docta tryd to tell me i was jus low in iron and there was probly something else wrong. i lost 10 kgs in a week constantly dizzy, alwaes feel like im going to chuck had blleding for 8 weeks strsight so they gave me a pill to stop it. the pain in my tummy is un bearable and the headaches wont go away. i lost my self esteem i think the implants r nt worth the hassel at all i onli got thm coz i had blood clots and doc sed they were best option and later after some research i found out they make blood clots worse. so to any one considering thz option of contreception dont do it and do someresearch into better options.
