I just read on Web md that the Fda Now considers trazadone a narcotic.
Is this true?

Hello, Mcky! How are you?

No, Trazodone is an SARI class antidepressant. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth and weight changes.

It is possible that the person who wrote what you read may have confused it with Tramadol, which is a very common error. Tramadol has been reclassified several times and is now considered an opioid, due to the fact that it is very closely related to narcotics and the FDA has found it to be habit forming.

Is there anything else I can help with?
