Is Tramadol Hcl 50mg Classified As A Narctic

What is the normal dose for tramadol hcl 50mg? I am taking utter prn tid for severe back pain. I have taken 75mg before I got relief.

Tramadol became a Schedule IV August 18, 2014. Under Federal Law, a dr can write refills and can call it in. There are no restrictions on how often you must see your dr. But, your dr can have you come in as often as he wants and he doesn't have to give refills or call it in.

The interesting thing about Tramadol is the fiasco of its creation. LOL

Originally, the intent was to try to create a medication that would have the pain relieving properties of opiates, without having the addictive tendencies, and all the side effects, however, what they ended up with is a mild pain reliever that can still be habit forming, and is only a moderate level analgesic.

Along with the FDA warning about possibly being habit forming, Tramadol may cause other side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, constipation, dry mouth, and headache.

Dosages usually range from 50 to 100mgs, but you should only take it as prescribed, unless your doctor advises you to change your dosage.
